Read Our Modest Style Tips For The Uniqlo & Hana Tajima 2017 Fall/Winter Modest Wear Collection

Uniqlo has released its latest modest wear collection designed by Hana Tajima. Some of the modest looks from the collection's lookbook are featured here.

The look above is a modest, stylish and functional outfit suitable for work or school but it is better to wrap the hijab in such a way that the bosom is covered or you could wear a long sleeveless jacket or coat over the outfit if you want to wrap your hijab as shown in the picture. You could also wear a long coat with long sleeves over the outfit if you prefer, but we suggest the sleeveless jacket because it would make the overall look much more interesting.

Wearing trousers is quite tricky because it straddles the line between modest and immodest, the fact that trousers by design have a demarcation that would outline the curves of the wearer means it is always better to go for wide-legged trousers and then wear the wide-legged trousers with a long length coat as shown in the picture above. This look is much more laid back than the first outfit, so in addition to work or school, it is also suitable for other casual occasions like running errands and the like.

The picture of the model without the hijab is probably used by Uniqlo & Hana Tajima to represent:

- a new revert who has not started wearing the hijab yet,
- a Muslim who hasn't started wearing the hijab yet,
- A Christian or Jew who doesn't wear the hijab (there are Christians and Jews who wear the hijab)
- Other ladies who simply prefer to dress modestly.

Wrapping the hijab in a turban style is great for a sharp look but it is always best to ensure that you are wearing a high neck top as pictured above but you also need to wear  a coat or jacket over the outfit as this would help cover the bosom.

*We recommend wrapping the hijab to always ensure chest coverage since this is what we are commanded by GOD in the Qur'an.

Qur'an 24: 31:

"Say to the believing women that they should cast down their glances and guard their private parts (by being chaste); that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what must ordinarily appear thereof; that they should draw their Khumur (veils) over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband's fathers, their sons, their husband's sons, their brothers or their brother's sons, or their sister's sons, or their women or the servants whom their right hands possess, or male servants free of physical needs or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex, and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O you believers, turn you all together towards GOD, that you may attain bliss."

Quran: 33: 36:

"It is not fitting for a believer, man or woman, when a matter has been decided by ALLAH and his Messenger to have any option about their decision: if anyone disobeys ALLAH and his Messenger, he is indeed on a clearly wrong path."
