This Is Thailand's First Halal Hotel

According to the management of the hotel, the Al Meroz hotel was created to provide Muslim and non-Muslim guests with the best traditions of the Islamic way of living. From the unique architecture of the hotel, to the halal certified cuisine, and a non-alcoholic environment, they say every effort has been made to respect the needs of their guests. They added that the Al Meroz is the first major hotel in Bangkok, Thailand to be designed as an halal hotel.

The Al Meroz Hotel is conveniently located with easy access to Suvarnabhumi Airport and downtown Bangkok. It is also close to The Foundation of Islamic Centre of Thailand, which offers religious services and guidance to the Muslim Community in Thailand. The hotel has 242 rooms, ranging from Superior and Deluxe to Suites, it also has a prayer room. All rooms indicate the direction of the Qibla in Mecca, and contain a prayer mat and a copy of the Qur'an. They also offer female guests travelling alone one floor of the hotel for their exclusive use, with female staff in attendance. For families, connecting rooms are available, with baby cots, child minding services on request, and the in-room television service is programmed for family friendly viewing.

The leisure facilities at the Al Meroz Hotel include a large open air swimming pool and state-of-the-art gymnasium. The pool and gymnasium are made available exclusively for their female guests during the morning hours, and for their male guests after midday.
